West Bengal Teacher Eligibility Test (WBTET) is conducted to evaluate a candidate's eligibility to teach in Schools across West Bengal. It is a state level test conducted by the West Bengal Board of Primary Education (WBBPE) and follows the criteria & guidelines set by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).
WBTET comprises of Paper 1 and Paper 2, which are held for Primary and Upper Primary Teachers respectively.
Both the exams have 150 multiple choice questions (MCQs). Candidates get 2 Hours and 30 Minutes for solving each paper. Paper 1 is for candidates who want to teach Classes 1 to 5 (Primary) .
